3 Steps To Stress Free Real Estate Technology Decisions

Rate this post

Are you overwhelmed when it comes to using technology in your real estate business?

Ever feel like you are in the middle of a rain storm, being pelted with a constant flow of new gizmos, gadgets, systems and software that is supposed to help your business?

If all of the decisions you have to make (or not make) are causing you frustration, confusion or stress, then something needs to change.

And it can change right now by considering the three ideas below…

Proceed With An Open Mind

Skepticism is a double edged sword. While skepticism can keep you from getting “taken,” being too skeptical can effectively shut the door on discovering new opportunities – especially when it comes to technology.

Always keep an open mind. Not easy, but a very effective strategy. If something sounds too good to be true, it just might be. Or it might be the best thing that happened to your business.

Not all investments payoff, but the only way you will guarantee a return of zero is if you stop investing.

So the next time you are evaluating a new piece of technology, a new website provider or a new marketing system, instead of asking “What are the downsides?”, ask yourself, “How many ways can I use this to build my business?”

Embrace the Changes, Don’t Fight Them

There is always opportunity hidden in change. And where there is opportunity, there is profit. Take the coming video craze, for example.

It’s probably the biggest change to come along on the internet in quite some time. Tons of opportunity out there for the taking.

My quick advice?

Jump in… Make a video and get it on Google Video or You Tube. Don’t wait for the path to be made clear for you. If you wait for someone else to lead the way, you won’t be able to help copying their ideas and techniques. The real power is in being unique.

Accept That You Will Make Mistakes… Then Make a Decision Anyway

When you are evaluating a new piece of technology or a new marketing approach, ask yourself, “What is the worst thing that could happen?”

Then ask yourself, “What is the best thing that could happen?”

Then make a decision and act on it.

Just accept that you will make a bad decision now and again. If you aren’t making mistakes, you probably aren’t being aggressive enough with using technology in your business.

When the rubber finally meets the road, it is action that is going to produce results. But it is a lot easier to correct your course once you are moving than it is to start out from a complete standstill.

By making decisions quickly, you will either learn or earn. Both results will help your business in the long run.
